A dream becomes reality: The Creative Collection opens its first shop

In the heart of Hemel Hempstead — where the Water Gardens shimmer and the Old Town holds its quiet charm — three friends shared a dream that felt bigger than their homes could hold.

They had grown up wandering the high street, watching shops come and go, noticing how hard it was to find gifts that felt personal, thoughtful, and still affordable. Every birthday, every anniversary, every “just because” moment seemed to require a long search or a long drive. And one day, over steaming mugs and scribbled notes, they looked at each other and realised the same thought had taken root in all three of them:

What if we built the kind of shop we always wished existed here?

Not a big chain. Not a faceless store. But a place filled with good‑quality products, made accessible to everyone, where personalisation wasn’t a luxury — it was the norm.

A place where you could walk in with nothing but an idea and walk out with something that felt like it was made for one person in the world.

So they began.

We build a business who offer gifts for every event, every celebration, every moment and for day to day needs.

We have a background as parents and parents to special needs children and we wanted to build something around them and offer products for them we stock products that are affordable for SEN parents as we know all to well the price tag these products often carry and we wanted to change that.

We are also a collaboration we have a photography studio in our store offering sessions in house such as headshots, family portraits and our accessible package which allows a bit of extra time to work with both children and adults with additional needs to make sure the have a relaxed experience with no pressure.

We hope to help bring new life to the Marlowes centre and Hemel Hempstead town centre and offer something a little different, personal and unique.
