For The Ages receives rave reviews for funktastic new single ‘Mr. Hennessy’
If you like 'Uptown Funk' (Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars), 'Dance to the Music' (Sly and the Family Stone), or 'Fresh' (Kool & The Gang) you wouldn't have missed 'Afro Boutique', the stylish funk track For The Ages released in 2022.
Mr. Hennessy sees For The Ages returning in true style to the funk form and compliments their back catalogue of dance and electronic songs such as ‘Bold Pattern of Life’, ‘The Inventor’, ‘Twilight Bay’, ‘The Pendulum’, and ‘A.I. Haze’.
‘Mr. Hennessy’ is a funk filled story of a man down on his luck being blessed with the kindness and generosity of a community over the festive season. With crisp indie guitar lines, warm voluminous bass, and vocals reminiscent of songs by Ed Sheeran and the Doobie Brothers, Mr. Hennessy has its place among the assured floor fillers for the Christmas and Winter Solstice period and beyond.
Released on December 12, it has already received fantastic reviews from FVMusicBlog (see: https://fvmusicblog.com/hot-picks-23-12-25-the-best-new-releases/); Jyla Blog (see: https://jylablog.com/for-the-ages-mr-hennessy/); and Gas or Trash (see: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSvvP2UjXf7/?igsh=cHFrM29qZW5zbzJ6).
