Flower Fest this bank holiday

MARSWORTH Flower Festival at All Saints Church, Church Lane, is being held over the August bank holiday weekend and promises to be one of the highlights of the region’s year. The church will be open for visitors from 10am to 6pm on each day of the Festival except on Sunday when it will be open for viewing from 11.30am.

During the four days of the festival the church will be decorated with a large number of floral arrangements depicting the theme of On With The Show.

“This year our creative team of arrangers has drawn inspiration from the worlds of ballet, opera, the Chelsea Flower Show, musical theatre and literature. We hope you enjoy viewing the beautiful arrangements and find one or two which match your personal interests” said Ken Longhurst, Marsworth festival chairman.

There is also a marquee with stalls, demonstrations, a flower shop, a Pimm’s tent and special activities for children. There will be an evening variety concert at the church on Saturday starting at 8pm.
