Youngsters have a smashing time at junior tournament
Berkhamsted’s youngest squash players did their club proub at the U9 and U11 County Closed events at Radlett Squash Club.
Special mentions go to Charlee Faulkner who was runner-up in the girls’ U11 event and Callum Egan who lost in the final of the U11 boys’ competition.
Jacob Shattock, 7, managed to win a tough final 11-9, 12-10 in the boys’ u9 event in what was his first ever squash tournament. He hopes to return to defend his title next year.
Looking ahead, Berkhamsted hosts the U13, U15, U17 and U19 County Closed events on the weekend of September 27 and the club hopes to have further successes there.
