Troy snaps up London youngster Lawrence as Stags strengthen the squad

The Chiswick-born player has been a regular in the Broncos U19 side for the last two years and becomes Troy Perkins’ first signing of the close season.

Perkins said: “Charlie will be a great addition to our squad. He has been in a good system at the Broncos and I spoke to several people at the London outfit and everything they said was positive.

“He has played in the Broncos U19s for the past two seasons and has been one of their most consistent performers.”

Perkins added: “He is versatile being able to play in the halves or at hooker and is a smart footballer with an exceptional kicking game and I am looking forward to him joining us for pre-season.”

Meanwhile, Lawrence is delighted to be joining the progressive Stags and said: “I’m really excited to be joining a great club who have had some outstanding achievements.

“Troy’s ambitions for next season are something I’m looking forward to working under and I can’t wait to join up and play with some great players.”
