Tring men start the season with a hat-trick of wins

The Tring Squash Club men’s teams have started their season with a clean sweep of wins in the Herts leagues.

A new third team – set up as a development squad to encourage more people to play match squash – played their first match on Tuesday and beat Bishop’s Stortford 3-2 in Division 5.

The second team, playing in Division 2, took on Broxbourne and after a close fought match squeaked home with a 3-2 win.

Meanwhile, the men’s first team played Nuffield St Albans at home and pulled off an amazing win.

Bragging rights go to Tring’s No 1 player Tom Power who took on Richie Fallows who is ranked at 65 in the world in the Professional Players’ Squash Ranking Table. Tom put in a superb performance and beat Richie 3-1.

With the match poised at 2-2, the No 3 in the Tring team Charlie Yerrell kept his cool in a tense match and emerged victorious at 3-2.
