At the front it was the fastest ever Tring parkrun, with Jordan Clay of Leighton Buzzard AC (18:23) and Harri Kane both beating the previous fastest time.

Last week’s fastest lady, Claire Shelley, managed a PB this week but she was just one of four ladies to beat her previous best time as Burnham Jogger Tamsin Neale set a new female record of 20:38.

Isabella Bidlake Hull, also of Leighton Buzzard, was the fastest junior female.

One of the features of parkrun is the tourists who travel the country to visit different meets, and on Saturday a group of them had arranged to run at Tring.

Prior to this week only 22 runners in the UK had run at 100 different parkrun locations, so congratulations to Neil Chapman and Norman Driskell who both achieved the feat at Tring.

In total, there were 157 runners including 91 new to Tring, and of those who have run before at Tring, 31 achieved PBs.

Registration is free at www.parkrun.org.uk/tring or email [email protected] for info.
