Inspired by the Lake District area of Northern England, Striding Edge Snowboards have released a range of eco-friendly snowboards using sustainable bamboo in the construction of the boards, as well as climate neutral t-shirts, and are using green energy company Ecotricity as an energy provider.

The tag line, ‘Destroy the POW and Parks – but not the mountains’, sums up their thinking but Striding Edge founder and Director Graham Koppenhol says he isn’t simply using the eco line as marketing fluff.

“I believe we can make a difference by giving UK snowboarders a truly eco-friendly product to ride,” said Koppenhol. “We are proud to be at the forefront of the eco movement in the snowboard industry.”

“We are working every day to meet our ambitious target to be carbon neutral before the end of 2016 and there are some things we can all do to help make a difference.”
