Multi-event joy for the Dacorum & Tring golden girls

Dacorum & Tring AC multi-event specialists Laurette Wenborn and Nikki Greaves won gold medals at the English Schools mutli-event championships as part of the U15 Hertfordshire girls’ team.

The dynamic duo qualified for the squad following stellar performances at the South of England championships and throughout the season.

The team won by 118 points, with Laurette and Nikki posting PBs in the 75m hurdles and shot put.

Both girls thanked coach Chris Styles for all his hard work – and their mums for getting them to the meets.

The duo agreed that it “feels amazing to have achieved this after all the hard work we have put into training these past few months.”

In other news, four Dacorum & Tring AC vaulters took part in the Jim Day Memorial Pole Vault Event in London over the weekend.

Michael Fryer posted a PB of 3.72m for a new club record, with Jess O’Sullivan and Alice King recording vaults of 2.72m and 1.82m respectively, while Lauren Evans achieved a PB of 2.22m in her first competition.
