'˜Lightning' Luke Richardson has enjoyed an excellent start to the 2016 karting season by thundering to victory in the final race of the Shenington Race Track Winter Series Championship.

This victory was built upon Tring School pupil Luke winning the Grand Final in February and gaining a third placed finish in January, confirming him as the championship winner.

Over the entire series, the Protrain Racing youngster raced in a variety of challenging circumstances – from a snow covered track through to battling it out with European level opposition and even British champions.

Protrain Racing Team principal Gary Chapman said: “Luke is a young talented driver who has only competed in a few races at this level of driving and he was the star driver in the team over the weekend.”

Luke thanked all the individuals who have supported him, especially corporate sponsor Train with Brett. If you would like to help or find out more about Luke in his quest to advance further in motorsport, please contact Paul Richardson 01442 300282 or at [email protected].
