After breaking the Dacorum & Tring AC Under 15 boys’ club record for 1,500m, a record that had lasted for 16 years, Kristian improved the record again when competing in the prestigious British Milers’ Club PB Classic Meeting held at Milton Keynes.

Running in race D, mostly against older runners, Kristian finished 12th in a fabulous time of 4:21.31, which currently places him 24th in the national rankings for his age group.

Although Kristian has now twice beaten the entry standard for the English Schools Championships, he will probably need to break 4:20 to achieve selection for this event which take place at the beginning of July.

Other members of the middle distance squad produced sparkling performances at the St Albans Parkrun. Rhys Rowlands took nearly a minute off his previous best on the 5k course to finish in third place in 17:19, whilst Sarah Grover improved even more to finish first female in a brilliant time of 18:34.

Grace Birdseye, meanwhile, finished St Albans in a strong 20.43 - easily the first JW15-17 and fast enough for ninth lady overall.
