Jess searches for sponsorship after stunning win at England Indoor Championships

Cavendish School's Jess Robinson ended the winter athletics season in winning style as she was crowned U20 pole vault champion at the England Athletics Indoor U15, U17 & U20 Championships in Sheffield.

In doing so, Jess achieved a Euro Youths qualifier as she vaulted a new PB height of 4.00m to take gold ahead of Anna Gordon (3.75m) and Amber Try (3.60m).

At only 16 years old, Jess was the youngest athlete in the field, and her huge leap saw her break the Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow club record for the third time in just over a month.

Jess’ latest success showed everybody just why she is ranked no 1 in the UK at her age group, and she is now looking for a grant or sponsorship to enable her to continue her journey to the very summit of the sport.

Incredibly, her win in Sheffield was achieved on poles which Jess is outgrowing, and she needs at least five longer poles to help her to continue her progression.

These come in at a cost of around £500, therefore Jess would be grateful for any help towards paying for them. If anybody would like to discuss possible sponsorship, please contact Jess’ mum Sarka Hawtin on 07976410791 or at [email protected]
