Hemel Hemstead ran out comfortable 31-7 winners and the evening was illuminated under the new lights.

The club hopes to have a number of events staged under the lights, including a school rugby tournament in the next few weeks.

Honorary club chairman Toni Massa said: “This is a wonderful addition to an ever expanding club and hopefully other sports will be able to use this new facility also.”
