Tring is a members’ club with a total membership of 350 and has good squash and social facilities, including four well-maintained courts and a bar that is open every evening.

The club is offering a free six-week course to men over the age of 16 and the coaching will be provided by a professional coach.

The course will begin on Saturday, February 21 and will last for 60 minutes, starting at 10am.

The free course is aimed primarily at non-members who do not necessarily have to join the club in order to take part. Beginners and inexperienced players are equally welcome.

The club will provide playing equipment, and numbers are limited to 16 players.

A Tring Squash Club spokesman said: “This is a great free opportunity for beginners to try a new sport and for inexperienced players to improve their skills and fitness.”

Anybody interested in signing up for the course, or who would like more information, should contact club chairman Betty Longhurst on 01296 660711 or at [email protected]
