Preview: Tudors aiming for four on the spin as Chelmsford come to town

The in-form Tudors are unbeaten in their last five fixtures, including an impressive 2-1 victory over playoff-chasing Truro City on Saturday.

Chelmsford, meanwhile, go into the game on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Maidenhead United in their last outing, and Hemel manager Dean Brennan is envisaging another tough game.

“Chelmsford are a big club and really they should be right up there in the table when you look at their budget and the size of their club,” said the Tudors boss.

“We’ve got to stick to our gameplan once again, keep up the work ethic that the players have shown, and keep taking it one game at a time.

“We know that it is going to be a tough game because they are a good side. They have got a lot of pace up the top end of the field and are dangerous from set-pieces.

“They have a good manager in Kev (Kevin Maher), he as been around for a long while, and they have got some very experienced players.”

Hemel will once again be without long-term absentees Kyle Connolly and Ed Asafu-Adjaye, while Matty Spring and Mat Mitchel-King are doubtful to start, with Ollie Thorne also out injured.

“We will be forced into changes again, but we will see what exactly these changes will be,” Brennan continued. “We’re really looking forward to the game.

“Chelmsford are a very well supported team and they are good guys over there so we are looking forward to hosting them and hopefully we can kick on and get another three points.”
