Orlando doubles up for the Whites as Everett Rovers feel the full force

Hemel Hempstead Town U15 White recorded a convincing 4-0 victory over Everett Rovers in a confident Division One display.

The Whites made a flying start to the game and took the lead after just three minutes when Alex Rutland fired home from eight yards out.

It wasn’t long before Hemel doubled their lead as Ryan Throlby rifled a 25-yard scorcher into the far corner of the net, and Orlando O’Connor made it 3-0 before half-time with a crisp strike across the keeper.

Halfway through the second period, Hemel made sure of the victory when O’Connor bagged his second goal of the game to secure the three points for his side.

The Hemel Town Youth U15 Reds, meanwhile, went goal crazy as they put eight past Sandridge Rovers in Division Two.

Osmin Frost put Hemel ahead after six minutes, and the Reds added another two goals before half-time courtesy of Frost and an own-goal.

Sandridge made a bright start to the second half, but Hemel soon got back into their stride and Steven-Lee Hollyhand made it 4-0.

From then on, the Reds were in full control and wrapped up the victory with further goals from James Redding, Frost, Jake Glesheen, and Funsho Ajayi.

Elsewhere, the Hemel U12 Blues got back to winning ways with a 4-0 win against Hemel Aces lions.

With the Blues dominating possession, they took a 1-0 lead in at half-time as Lewis Russell headed home a cross from Oliver Chubb.

The Blues continued to dominate play after the break and added further goals through Sam Gillings, Charlie Dadd and man of the match Chubb.

There was County Cup joy for Hemel Town Youth Red U11 as they beat FC Comets Galaxy 6-3 after extra-time in the second round of the competition.

The Hemel goals came from Alfie Jennings (3), Joe Watts, Lewis Folds and Dylan Jones in a spirited display.

Jennings’ third goal, in particular, was a cracker as he left the defence wrong footed with two clever touches, before calmly beating the advancing keeper to the ball to prod home.

Other results for the club on Sunday saw Hemel Hempstead Town Youth U17 draw 4-4 with Evergreen Youth Juniors in West Herts Youth League Division One, while Hemel Town Youth U13 Blue beat Oxhey Jets 5-2 in the first round of the Challenge Cup.

Hemel Town Youth U12 White recorded a thumping victory in the West Herts Youth League Yellow Division as they triumphed 7-2 over Abbots Youth Blue.
