The hosts made a bright start to the game, but it was Kings who took the lead after 25 minutes when Adrian Abramian collected the ball 25 yards out and went past three players before letting fly from the edge of the box into the far corner of the net.

Ten minutes later and the talented striker was at it again, this time laying in an accurate through-ball for the Matt Kimani to guide an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Stunned by the scoreline, Battle rallied and pulled a goal back when a cross was flicked on for a volley at the back post, giving the home team deserved hope of a second half recovery.

However, Kings restored their two goal cushion with the last kick of the first half when Abramian drew several defenders into tackles, before sliding a pass for Dean Porter to hit home inside the far post for a 3-1 half-time lead.

Although Battle worked very hard to get back in the game, the organised Kings’ defence withstood tremendous pressure until the hosts hit the post with 10 minutes to go.

Battle’s hopes of a comeback were finally ended when that man Abramian beat three defenders and fired home from 18 yards to wrap up the impressive win for Kings.
