Hemel Town's match on Tuesday night was abandoned after an on the field altercation left two players hurt.

The Tudors took on Cheshunt in what was initially a Herts Charity Shield clash but was downgraded to a friendly.

Cheshunt were winning 1-0 in the second half when the match was abandoned by the referee.

It wasn’t the perfect warm up for Hemel ahead of their opening National League South opening fixture on Saturday.

They travel to Eastbourne before welcoming East Thurrock United to Vauxhall Road on Tuesday.
