The course has been developed based on techniques used by Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger to nurture young talent in the Gunners’ academy.

The school holiday football camps will run for boys and girls aged 5-11 in Hemel at Longdean Sportspace from Monday, April 4 to Wednesday, April 6 and at Berkhamsted Sportspace from Tuesday, April 5 to Thursday, April 7.

Children attending the coaching sessions don’t have to be budding professionals as the soccer school course welcomes children of all abilities, with the emphasis on having fun.

For those children that demonstrate their talent, there is a chance of being noticed and identified as a gifted young player; players from these courses in the past have gone on to play in centres of excellence and even academy football.

Each day there will be a football skills theme and competitions to win prizes. In addition to their new skills, children participating in the three-day course will also receive a medal, certificate and a special gift.
