A second half goal from Matt Bateman was enough to give Kings Langley a 1-0 win over Berkhamsted at sunny Broadwater on Saturday.

The visitors looked well organised, but Berko made light of the two division gap between the teams in a very close match.

Goalkeeping coach Dean Goodwin got a rare outing in goal for the home side that also featured a trio of outfield trialists. Dan Jones and centre forwards Ashton Campbell and Lorenzo Ferrari all made good first impressions.
