Athletic pay the penalty in the Premier Division Cup
There was Premier Division Cup disappointment for Tring Athletic last night as they lost on penalties to Holmer Green after drawing 4-4 after extra-time.
Tring were 3-0 down after about half an hour and, although they came back strongly in the second half – helped by ta harsh red card for a Green defender on the hour mark – Athletic couldn’t find a winner.
Tring’s goals came from Chris Salmon, Taylor Collins, Trevor Gibbs and Chris Vardy.
