D&T Hannah wins Stanborough Lakes aquathlon
Hannah Bennett and Victoria Thornley headed to Stanborough Lakes in Welwyn to race the second in a series of three Active World Training aquathlons.
The aquathlon consisted of a 750m open water swim and a 5k off-road run. Amazingly Hannah was the first person across the finish line and Victoria was first in her age-group.
Matt Hamilton continued his magnificent recent Triathlon form up in Birmingham where he took part in another sprint distance triathlon. Impressively, Matt was fourth placed male overall and was first in his age group.
After completing the 750m swim in around 13 minutes, Matt conquered the 20k bike ride in 32 minutes 37 seconds and negotiated the 5k run in a lightening quick time of 19:31.
Over in Hatfield, it was the second race of the Mid Summer Series at Panshanger on Thursday. Annette Howard sped to a 50:42 finish, followed by Sam Hawkridge in a time of 53.51.
Hayley McNeill travelled to Hyde Park for the 10k for Crohns which aims to raise money for research into Crohns Disease. Hayley finished in 69 minutes.
