Cool hand Luke takes the junior title at Little Hay

Played over two days and 36 holes, juniors aged from 11 to 18 aimed at two titles; club champion who takes the fewest strokes to complete the two rounds, and Junior Cup winner who has the lowest score adjusted by handicap.

On the first day, a blistering round of 79 by 15-year-old Wrathall set the pace, followed by Jamie McIvor with 81 and George Rocca on 82.

On the second day, rounds of 82 by Craig Walker and Rocca and 85 by Emma Shepherd challenged the overnight leader.

But Wrathall held on with a second round of 83, giving a total of 162 to claim the Junior Club Championship by two strokes from McIvor and Rocca.

The Junior Cup for the best net score was won by Walker, aged 15, with a net total of 139 strokes from Will Howe (141) and Rocca (142).
