The hosts belied their lowly league position and produced a powerful display across the field.

The Camelot pack struggled to hold on to their own put in and lost one against the head early on that led to Old Haberdashers’ first try after six minutes.

A further two converted tries from the home side came through Camelot’s poor tackling in midfield and the only response in the first half was a penalty from stand-off Gavin Jakeman which made the score 21-3 at half-time.

The second period continued in a similar vain, with Old Haberdashers exploiting Camelot’s weak tackling to score three further converted tries and a penalty to make the score 45-3 with 10 minutes remaining.

To give the Camelot 15 credit, they never gave up. The home side were determined not to let the visitors cross their whitewash but in the end Camelot scored two consolation tries, one of which Jakeman converted leaving the final score 45-15.

This leaves Hemel firmly in the drop zone just ahead of Tabard who also lost again this week.

Next up for Camelot is a trip to Old Merchant Taylors on Saturday.
