Tring took an early lead which they squandered – going nine points down at one stage – but they fought back in the second half with some cleverly worked tries.

Getting the four-try bonus point and denying the opposition a losing bonus point could be crucial at the end of the season.

Elsewhere, the second XI beat Bishop’s Stortford III 57-0 and the thirds beat Bishop’s Stortford IV 37-5.
