Brian and Gerry clinch Winter League title at Little Hay

The 10-round Little Hay Winter League culminated in an exciting finale on a windy but sunny day.

Brian Ridgeway and Gerry Clarke managed to hang on to their two-point advantage over Martin Evans and Nigel Hopkinson, with Steve Crowhurst and Hee-Yung Crowhurst a further point behind in third place.

The winners of the tenth round on count-back were Ivan Lawrence and Mick Whelan, with Paul Mudd and Tony Alford finishing second.

On Monday, the Ladies’ Dacorum Trophy was won by Jacky Joslyn with 33 points. Maureen Bidgway was second with 29 points and Gill Howells third with 28 points.

On Saturday, in their first qualifying event of the year, the Business Ladies’ March Medal was won by Chris Marsden with a nett 68, with Elaine Meagher in second place with a nett 73.
