It was a tough challenge for actors Joe McFadden and Jules Knight who play doctors and love rivals Raf di Lucca and Harry Tressler because neither had played much basketball before.

However, with a few pointers from Titmuss, the pair were soon shooting hoops and working on the actual script and actions to be filmed.

“They were really professional, and quickly picked up some tricks and skills that they’re going to need to make the sequence look authentic,” said Titmuss. “I was impressed with their focus and how hard they worked to get it right.”

In other news at Hemel Storm, popular guard Walid Mumuni has been appointed head coach of the club’s Community Outreach Programmes.

Mumuni will lead a range of schools coaching sessions and other initiatives that are to be announced later this month.
