From osteopathy to nutrition and mindfulness: Your four-pillar wellness solution in Hemel Hempstead

There’s a very special ethos for one Hemel Hempstead health and wellness centre and it’s this: Live pain free and keep doing what you love.
It’s a mantra born out of experience and a twist of fate, which saw one man’s pain cured – leading to the foundations of the Body Unity centre and its all-round holistic approach.
When Has Housein was working as a software engineer and management consultant he had a stubborn shoulder injury. Despite visits to the GP, a physio, and many painkillers, he was still in pain five months later.
Someone suggested that Has visit an osteopath. It was a decision that changed his pain, his life, his outlook, his career.
Now Has and Patrick Walker - that very same osteopath he saw years ago - are partners in Body Unity.
They offer health and wellness solutions in a state-of-the art, purpose-built centre at Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead.

The four pillars to a better, healthier you
Has says of his life-changing experience: “After one 45 minute session with Patrick, I had the full range of motion back in my shoulder.
“My mind was blown with how good Patrick’s treatment was. It fascinated me how he pieced together what was going on, and got straight to work on stopping the cause, not just symptoms.”
That experience lit a spark.
Has went on to retrain as an osteopath, and worked alongside Patrick at his former clinic The Body Mechanic.
Now together they have grown into Body Unity, a 3,300-square-foot wellness centre, designed around one big idea: Health is about more than fixing pain - it’s about keeping people moving, strong, nourished, and balanced for life.

At Body Unity, that philosophy is built on four pillars: Repair, Rebuild, Refuel, and Revive:
Repair - where most people start when something hurts and you need relief. Osteopathy, sports massage, acupuncture, cupping, and shockwave therapy all fall under this pillar.
Says Has: “It’s not just about taking the pain away; it’s about finding out why it happened so it doesn’t come back.”
Rebuild - about strength and resilience. Once pain is gone, clients can move to the onsite, fully equipped gym for one-to-one rehabilitation or “prehab” sessions, which help futureproof their body from reinjury.
Refuel - focuses on nutrition. One-to-one plans help with everything from weight loss to sports performance to diabetes prevention.
Revive - is about mental wellbeing and relaxation. Spa-style massages, Indian head therapy, hot stones, counselling, talking therapies, and breath work help clients recover, relax, and rebalance.
Has explains: “Wellness isn’t just physical; your mind matters too.”
People don’t have to visit Body Unity to be fixed when broken – the key is in planning ahead
With a team of 12 people, with plans to grow, and several specialist treatment rooms, the business is making a difference to many lives not only for their members but also the local community, supporting DENS, St Francis Hospice, as well as youth sports teams and athletes.
Book your visit and plan your best health and wellness life
Has adds: “In the past, people may have visited people like us just to treat the issues when they’ve happened.”
But we want to stop the issues before they happen; ongoing health and wellness can make all the difference. You can live pain free and keep doing what you love.
