With space for an iPhone, Apple Watch and earbuds in one compact foldable design, Anker’s latest charging station is one of the smartest travel gadgets I’ve tested this year

I think this might be my favourite travel gadget. It's Anker's new 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station, and its design is a work of genius.

In a very compact unit that fits into the palm of your hand, you have three separate wireless chargers - one for your smartphone, one for your smart watch, and one for your earbuds.

It even has a built in air cooling system, a neat little status light, and grippy rubber feet.

From a build quality perspective, it's nothing short of exquisite. There's a reassuring weight to the clamshell-style folding mechanism, the Magsafe-equipped lid opens, and it reveals a non-slip charging base for your earbuds (or a second small smartphone fits) and then a pop-out watch charger.

This third charger is really neat. Designed for the Apple Watch, you just lay the watch on the little white puck and it powers up instantly. When you're done, you just push the spring-loaded watch charger back into its recessed slot. And you're ready to fold the whole thing up again.

The fans are super-quiet, the charging speed is fairly impressive at 25w, and the magnet is nice and strong.

It's one of the few products I've tested this year that I'm really struggling to pick fault with, in fact.

It is a bit fussy about input voltage. You need to make sure you've got a decent lead and charger combination, and I found a dated train carriage I was sat in at one point really didn't have enough grunt. But that would be true of pretty much any wireless charger.

It's currently priced at £104, thanks to a discount voucher deal, but the price might go back up to £129.99 soon. And I think that's still good value.

You could perhaps argue it's quite heavy for a compact travel accessory, but when you consider it combines three chargers in one device, and a cooling system, and it's actually a similar weight to a high-end iPhone at 230g, you'd actually be making quite a silly argument.

Because when all's said and done, this is a fantastic product. If you travel a lot, it's going to become one of your favourite gadgets, I promise you that.

And even if you don't, even if you just admire lightweight productivity tools, this really is a fabulous bit of tech, and it's likely to be one of the best gadgets I've tested in 2026. And we're only halfway through.
