Freddie and Isabella were the most popular baby names in Hemel Hempstead last year, according to the Office of National Statistics.

Despite a national trend for naming children after characters in the popular Game Of Thrones TV series and books, Dacorum parents opted for more  traditional monickers.

After Freddie the most popular male names were Jake and Logan.

And girls who weren’t little Isabellas were  most likely to be named Emily, Elsie or Matilda.

New children’s names of families living in Dacorum are registered in Hemel Hempstead.

Across the county the most popular names are Jack, George and Harry for boys, and Amelia, Emily and Sophie for girls.
