The annual event sees competitors tackle a 400m swim, followed by a 12-mile cycle, and finally a five-mile run, all centring on the town’s Knox Johnston Sports Centre.
This year’s event will take place on Sunday, April 17, with a new route and a range of new sponsors and prizes - but there are less than 40 places left.

“Our last partner is the Red Squirrel Brewing Co. Not only will they be setting up a bar area as part of the event but everyone who finishes the triathlon will get a triathlon t-shirt, a medal, and a bottle of Red Squirrel local ale.”
As well as the new route there have been a number of changes since last year’s inaugural triathlon.
These include a variety of spot prizes, and numerous new sponsors coming on board.

He added: “It was such a success last year that we’ve had a huge increase in the number of people who want to get involved, whether as competitors or just to support the event in 2016.
“The local companies who want to be part of it has been really satisfying too.
“So even if you aren’t going to tackle a triathlon just yet, come along and join us.”
