Woman injured in M1 collision between car and van near Hemel Hempstead

A woman suffered an injury to her arm and neck when she was involved in a collision on the M1 near Hemel Hempstead this afternoon (Friday).

Police were called at 12.46pm to reports of a collision involving a white Audi A1 and a white Mercedes Sprinter panel van, on the M1 northbound between junctions 8 and 9.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: "An ambulance was called as a woman had suffered an injury to her arm and neck.

"All the lanes are now open as the vehicles have been moved to the hard shoulder.

"Officers are still at the scene while the vehicles are recovered."
