A London Midland spokesman told this website today that its Milton Keynes to London Euston service had been cancelled because one of the railway lines had been closed.

However, the spokesman said services between Birmingham and London Euston were still running, and still making stops at Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “We are carrying out urgent repairs at Leighton Buzzard to ensure the ongoing safety of the railway.
