The fire service and police were called to the incident earlier today

One lane remains closed in Hemel Hempstead after vehicle fire in Two Waters Road earlier today (Friday).

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to reports of 'one vehicle well alight' on Two Waters to Kings Langley, junction 20 of the A41, at 1.10pm today. They sent one fire engine from Hemel Hempstead and one from Kings Langley.

Hertfordshire Police were called by the fire service to report they were attending a vehicle fire in Two Waters Road, Hemel Hempstead.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers attended to assist with road closures while the fire was put out and the vehicle was recovered.

"One lane remains closed at this time due to damage to the carriageway.

"No one is reported to have been injured."
