Help and support is available to those anxiously awaiting their GCSE results - due out tomorrow.

Herts County Council is reaching out with guidance to students and their families as the big day looms.

Councillor Chris Hayward, who oversees education, said: “I appreciated this is an anxious time for all concerned, and would like to wish Hertfordshire’s students the very best of luck on Thursday.

“Whatever the outcome when you open those envelopes, there are plenty of options in education and training. Dedicated people will be on hand to give you all the advice you need.”

Schools will have staff available to talk through choices and, for those who have not done well. there is always the opportunity to resit exams.
