Tesco to go ahead with Express store despite putting site up for sale
Enquiry boards suggesting the site at the corner of the village High Street with Chesham Road is up for sale are part of a change of tactic on the grocery chain’s part.

A Tesco spokesman said: “We are delighted to have planning permission for a new store in Bovingdon and are grateful for the support local people have given our plans. We’re looking for a development partner to help us build the scheme and provide a retail unit for us to occupy. We’re not yet in a position to confirm an opening date but we’ll be sure to keep the local community update.”
Tesco’s proposals have seen opposition from residents – its planning consent expires again in July next year.
