Now, following an appeal to loyal walkers, seven volunteers have either joined the committee or will help organise on the day.
The two walkers raising the most sponsorship at this year’s walk were Mark Sherfield, who walked the 12-mile route, collecting £325, and seven-year-old Monty Woodman and his family, who walked six miles and raised £442.
They each won a prize of £100 to spend in The Complete Outdoors, Bourne End.
Next year’s Berkhamsted Walk will take place on Sunday, May 14.
