Storms light up the night sky again, we want your pictures and videos

Storms can be frightening and potentially dangerous but they also make for great pictures and video like this one captured by Met Desk forecaster and storm chaser Brendan Jones, who had a narrrow escape when a fork of lightning arced 10 miles and struck just 30 feet away from him during last week's storms.

Another large storm lit up the South East overnight as a result of the recent humid weather.

It was the second big storm to hit the region in as many weeks. Last week’s storms made for an unforgettable experience for one meteorologist and keen storm chaser who came within 30 feet of being struck by lightning in a terrifying incident at Ivinghoe Beacon.

Brendan Jones, a forecaster at Met Desk in Wendover near Aylesbury, revealed he felt ‘very lucky to be alive’ after reading reports of lightning fatalities from Wales.
