The venue’s meeting and events supervisor Mark Allday said: “Just like before, our open days provide a fantastic opportunity for people to come and have a look at what we have to offer here at Felden Lodge.

“This year has been an exciting time for us with a major refurbishment of our coffee lounge, reception area and conference rooms, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to Felden Lodge.”

Felden Lodge was built in the late 19th century, but after World War II it was bought by the Boys Brigade as its national centre. The house and its 32 acres continue to be used by the group, and there are unique Japanese-inspired gardens in its grounds which they hope to restore in the future.

Visitors can see what is on offer on Thursday, August 28 from 11am to 4pm, when refreshments including cream teas will be served up.
