The slips from the ‘Parcel Delivery Service’ suggest that a package was unable to be delivered, and instructs recipients to call a premium rate number on 0906 6611911.

Callers risk being charged at a rate of £315 for calling the ‘Parcel Delivery Service.’

The Post Office warns that the fraudsters are duping people in the run up to Christmas where many shop online and are expecting deliveries to their door.

If you do receive a card with these details, call Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.

The warning was also circulated to those in the area through Herts Police’s OWL messaging system.
