Roadworks on A414 continuing
The work, which is being carried out on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, started on 13 July, at the beginning of the school holidays.
The Napsbury Lane bridge, which crosses the A414 between Park Street roundabout and London Colney roundabout, is undergoing extensive repairs to address corrosion, which has the potential to impact the integrity of the bridge’s structure.

There are also some full night-time closures.
Councillor Terry Douris, cabinet member for highways at Herts County Council, said: “We started this essential repair work in the school holidays to try to minimise driver delays.
“It’s an extensive job so unfortunately there’s no avoiding the fact that the lane closures will still be in place by the time schools return. We appreciate that this will most likely mean some fairly lengthy delays for people during peak times, so I’d like to thank people for their patience.”
