The items were mostly found individually wrapped in cellophane, plastic or were held in plastic containers.

Jewellers have valued the collection at approximately £50,000.

Detective Sergeant Karen Lewis said she hoped the uniqueness of the items would help them find the owner.

“Despite several enquiries, we have so far been unable to trace the owners of these items,” she said.

“The items are very distinctive so we hope that someone might recognise them and that they can be returned.”
