Pupils' book collection for global literacy
Year 9 students at Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead have been collecting text books and fiction books to donate to The Musangu Foundation, which sends them to schools and libraries they have set up in Zambia.
English teacher Haya Redwan said: “We have collected text books from subjects such as maths, history, art and food technology, as well as fictional books.
“Students have been excited by the project and are proud to be playing such an important role as global citizens.”
