Popular event attracts more walkers than ever

The Berkhamsted Walk raised more than £7,000 for the Children's Society's last Sunday.

The day was blessed with sunshine and blue skies and the bluebells in full bloom, encouraging more walkers than ever.

The organisers feared this year’s walk could be the last.

But now a couple of people have offered to help, they hope the popular event will be able to continue next year on the second Sunday in May, if a few more people come forward. The organisers thanked everyone, especially one six-year-old boy who walked 15 miles to raise £200 for the children’s charity.
