Cllr Terry Douris said: "I am delighted to re-elected to serve all the residents of the Bridgewater Division at Hertfordshire County Council.

"The County Council has worked tirelessly to support those affected by the CoronaVirus and we must continue to be vigilant against the threat.

"At the same time our work has continued, caring for the elderly and vulnerable, maintaining those services that we were able to, and supporting everyone who was forced to shield.

"Clearly one of the important aspects of the next 4 years will be how we meet the challenge of Climate Change and we will need to work with Dacorum Borough Council in this endeavour.

"We also need to let people know the services that Hertfordshire County Council provides and those which Dacorum provides.

"I will continue to liaise with the Parish Councils in the large Bridgewater Division and I look forward to meeting residents at the various ‘surgeries’ that I run.

"I can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by phone on 01442 402273."

Voters in Dacorum also voted on who they wanted to take up the role of Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire – the contest was due to take place last year, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

The result of Herts PCC and the Dacorum Borough Council by-election - Tring Central Ward and Leverstock Green Ward - will be announced today (Monday).
