Three premises in London Road were targeted – while a man was also arrested in connection with two other burglaries in Hemel Hempstead within the last fortnight.

The first offence occurred at the Raja Tandoori on March 18, between midnight and 11.30am the following day. Two bottles of alcohol were taken.

On March 23, at around 11.20pm, a laptop, hair straightening set, shampoo, cash and charity box were taken from Aurora hairdressers.

Raja Tandoori was again targeted on March 25, along with the Shaggy and Chic dog grooming store – where cash was taken from tills of both overnight.

Aurora was then broken into again at about 11pm on Tuesday evening (March 28), where a charity box was again taken.

Burglaries were also reported that evening at Ape Vaping in Queensway, Hemel Hempstead, at around 11.50pm - where the offender gained entry to the premises and searched inside and taking E cigarettes before making off.

Shortly afterwards, after midnight this morning (March 29) an offender forced open the door at Pie in the Sky tea room on the old High Street, and took money from the till before making off.

Herts Police have today arrested a 26-year-old man, of no fixed address. He remains in police custody.
