In a post on Dacorum Police facebook, the force said: "The local PCSO and the Lead Officer for Animal Welfare and Public Health from Dacorum Borough Council visited an address in Hemel Hempstead after the Trust reported concerns regarding two dogs that had been seen continually chasing sheep on Herdsmans Moor.

"Following a conversation with the dog owners a Community Protection Warning Letter was served on them with conditions to ensure dogs are kept on leads and under control when in fields containing sheep.

"Please take care locally when walking your dogs in our beautiful borough and keep them under control when near livestock this festive season."
