Two Hemel Hempstead based mental health charities are aiming to boost people’s wellbeing across the town with a walking event on Saturday, October 31.
Brave, a men’s mental health and wellbeing organisation led by Paul Hughes, and YOUnique Minds, founded by Zoe Godden, are encouraging people in Hemel Hempstead to take part in ‘GET HEMEL TALKING!’ and get together with their loved ones by going for a walk to boost their wellbeing.

"Exercise and talking can have such a positive effect on our wellbeing and that is what we are hoping to achieve!
"We will be sharing pictures on our social media platforms throughout the day and would love to play a small part in putting smiles on peoples faces."
On Saturday, October 31, between 8am and 3pm, people are encouraged to walk any distance, for as long as they like with their loved ones.

"Talking about how we’re doing is so important, particularly during such uncertain times.
"The benefits of exercise and the effects on our mental health are well documented so if we can improve our wellbeing whilst seeing our nearest and dearest then that is brilliant.
"We would love to see as many people as possible across Hemel coming together and taking part!"
