Police called to report of possible kidnap in Hemel Hempstead

A man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap after an incident in Hemel Hempstead this morning.

Police were called at around 7.40am today (Tuesday) to report of a possible kidnap in Hemel Hempstead.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: "Officers responded immediately and just before 8am safely located and stopped a vehicle containing those involved - a man and woman who are known to each other - on Breakspear Way.

"The man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap. He then suffered a medical episode and was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment."
