Modified and classic car show heading to Hemel Hempstead to support local foodbank

A modified and classic car show is being organised in Hemel Hempstead to raise money for the Trussell Trust foodbank in Dacorum.

The event, sponsored by StreetReapersUK, will be on Saturday, September 18, and there will be two parts to the day, the main event from 12pm till 4pm, and an evening event from 4pm till 8pm.

In Dacorum, DENS Foodbank, run in partnership with The Trussell Trust, can provide up to three food parcels to anyone who is struggling in the community.

Food parcels are distributed via the Foodbank in Paradise, Hemel Hempstead, as well as other local distribution centres across Dacorum

Simon Higgs, event organiser, and Tom Ward, from StreetReapersUK, wanted to give something back to the community.

Tom said: "We are putting on a charity event and raising food for our local food bank.

"We wanted to show not all car clubs are hooligans causing trouble.

"Entry fee will be an item of food that will be donated directly to them on site.

"Be part of something that will make a difference, and bring the family as there will be something for everyone.

"During the day we have sumo wrestling, gladiator, bungee run, bouncy castles, burger van, an ice cream truck, a number of stalls, live music and loads of beautiful cars.

"During the evening there will DJ’s, a pop up bar and fireworks.

"StreetReapersUK’s photographers will be on hand to capture the day and will be putting a video of the day together of the event so check there YouTube channel for the video, they’ll also have a stall set up to take family photos so drop by the stall prices for that will be discussed with you on the day.

"Please get involved and enjoy a great day with the family while sticking to government guidelines."
